Admissions

WFMS has a rolling admission policy, which means we accept applications for our education programs throughout the year and accept children all year long.

Tour

*Required before application consideration. PLEASE NO CHILDREN.

Learn about our school's history, the Montessori pedagogy, and what to expect if you enroll your child. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and observe the classrooms in action

Apply

Your family will be put on our waitlist once we receive your completed application and non-refundable application fee. Financial assistance is not offered until after an enrollment offer has been accepted. This is due to the ebbs and flows of funding each year. $50 Application Fee paid at submission.

Offer Extended

Once a spot is available, we will contact you and offer it. You can accept, decline, and end the process or defer and remain on the waitlist. Deferring doesn't affect your standing or position on the waitlist; we will contact you again when another spot opens up.

Classroom Visit

Once you have accepted our enrollment offer, we will schedule a classroom visit for you and your child. This is a 30-minute visit for you and your child to see the school, explore the classroom, and meet the teacher. Visits are always scheduled at 3:30p, after our school day, so we can give our full attention to the family.

During this time, your child will be engaged in Montessori works guided by the teacher. This visit is not an interview and does not involve any testing. It is a way to familiarize the child with the environment and connect with the teacher, as well as for caregivers and the school to ensure WFMS is the best fit for your family.

After the visit, we will proceed with the enrollment process by sending you our enrollment contract. If necessary, our Head of School will request further information from the family.

PLEASE — No siblings or other children present unless siblings are candidates.

Contract & Enrollment

We aim to enroll families committed to Montessori education who wish to join the community. The student’s application, classroom visit, and teacher observations help our trained staff accept, decline, or defer admission.

Enrollment contracts are offered on a rolling basis, year-round. A signed contract and tuition deposit must be received to secure your student’s spot in the classroom. You will also receive an invoice for any additional fees.

Although enrolled, all financial and documentation requirements (including a signed parent handbook, an additional request for records, VDSS required forms, etc.) must be received 24 hours before the child attends school.
