Natural Leaders

One of the special moments I witnessed this week was this one between Junie, one of our Kindergarteners, and Benjamin, one of our Toddlers who will be moving up to the Primary classroom soon.

Benjamin has been visiting the Primary classroom a bit here and there at different times of the day to begin to transition and become acclimated to the new environment. And on this day, he was welcomed onto the playground and brought into the hunt for roly-polies. It was such a fun exchange to watch as Junie shared her excitement and knowledge of the roly-poly and showed Ben how to be ever so gentle with the bug. And watching Benjamin be so attentive and fully engrossed in every piece of information Junie had to share. This is what it is all about! This made my day!
