Help Build Our New Playground
We will not only enjoy a newly renovated space to run our amazing authentic Montessori program, but we will also get to install and design our own outdoor space!
While staff and parents are beyond excited about this growth opportunity, and we plan to continue to provide a safe and affirming space for our students, it all comes at a monetary cost. A natural and beautiful outdoor space doesn't come cheap, but our community has never let us down, and we've never shied away from rolling up our sleeves and getting a little dirty to get the job done.
What’s the hallmark of playing in a natural setting? From watching worms in the soil to balancing on a log, nature play is child-initiated and child-directed. Much like an indoor classroom, a teacher carefully prepares the outside classroom for learning, and an outdoor play environment is designed, beckoning the child’s innate desire to learn and explore. From the entrance to the pathways to the choice of play equipment and vegetation, each element is purposely selected and placed in a cohesive design that allows for multiple opportunities for learning.
